hello everbody,
I was thinking about to buy a plastic anemone for my clown fish, because he makes a lot of mess in the sand, and my tank is FO I don't have lighting to keep a real anemone.
do you think the clown fish will gonna like the fake anemone ? like a real one ?
I saw some plastic anemone is really looklike real.
thanks

I don't know if he will like it or not... Sometimes they don't like the real ones!!!! :)

There is nothing to say it won't take to it either. They host anything from anemones to powerheads to corals to balls of rubberbands. It's worth a try!

I'm with the others. It might take to it, it might not. I had a clown that just loved his heater. ;) Weird fish.

ye, that's funny I wish my clown like the skimmer or something else, but he likes the sand and I made a decision, I gonna give him for somebody, I just can't keeping looking he's mess up with the sand, he does that all the time and there is sand everywhere in the rocks etc. I'm tired fix his mess, I like him, he's very health but I just can't with him anymore. :(
I hope that's the right decision to make.

Someone will love him I am sure of that!!! You can make that decision if you want! We all have had a fish that we have traded or taken back to the LFS because we didn't bargain for what we got!!!! :)

Sergio, I know what you mean about the sand everywhere. I had a clarkii clown that used to do the same thing. I got tired of clraning up the mess constantly too.

They are very impressionable aren't they!!!! And it is still funny!!! I guess that is another reason why they call them clowns!! I only wish that worked for other critters!!! Wish I could show a picture of a mantis getting eaten by any fish and that would train a mantis to be afraid of fish!!! Oh well, guess we will just have to train clowns by this means!!!
