by the way its as long as a cigerette and when the arms/head is fully extended its about the size of a nickle

the tentacles coming out of the sand look to be the same as the tentacles on a medusa worm. but I have never seen one with that type of disc on it's top.
if the sand is off the body is it sand colored with brown strips?

The closest I've come so far is it may be a serebellidae species of worm, but I haven't found one with that type of crown. It seems to have the characteristics of that worm species, but that crown is what's interesting to me.

Is the crown that sticks out of the sand more like feathers or tentacles? It's hard to tell in your pic.

ther tenticules, and the mouth is dark brown, the body is very leathery
i cant get the sand off it either
isnt it a bit big to be a worm?
