Has anybody ever used coralife salt??? What are your comments, good and bad, especially bad.
I just bought 150G worth (discounted price $36.99) and I usually use IO but I figured I would give this a try.
Please tell me if I am in for a shock.
I got a free shirt too.....
Thanks,
Whiskey

Hi, i was using IO for a while and it seemed to contribute to brown algae blooms in my tank. I switched back to coralife and brown algae is no longer a problem.
While trying to figure out how to get rid of the brown algae, a friend of mime was talking to the owner of an LFS and he was told that they were having a similar problem and switched to coralife and it cleared up their problem as well.
This was the only parameter that i changed.
as for the bad, it seems like my calcium levels were a little lower than normal. this may or may not be attributed to the salt, since i have been adding quite a few corals lately, but if you do use it, check your calcium levels.
hope this helps.
