I have a question about the re-generation capabilitites of our beloved shrimp.
I was moving my coral banded shrimp from the q-tank to the main tank this morning (he had been picking on my scooter blennie and percs), and when i dropped him out of the net I noticed he had only one of his large arms left. I then looked in my net and found his left arm still attached to the net.
I'm sure this was a defense mechanism, but will his large pincher grow back? He is a large coral banded, and he's been with me the longest of all my marine fish. I hope he's OK, but he looks pretty pathetic with only one large pincher!
p.s. Now I'm gonna have to change his name, b.c. I had named him Arnold for the simple fact of his "large" shoulders (how they "bulk" out)
