Can you prop Anemones
not thit im looking to do it in the next year or so but. like you all said get all the info befor trying to do it. if you cant prop Anemones how do they reproduce so that you could in some way breed them. LOL so to say.

well, not like you do with corals
just about the only anemone that reproduces (splits) would be the bulb type anemones(Entacmaea quadricolor), some will split often and some will take a while
the only way i know to make an anemone split would be to pretty much crash the tank, this will force the anemone to react and it will split just to make sure it survives, but i dont recomend that :)

one more thing that I found that will work well is to stress them out I have peeled there foot half way off the rock. and 2 days later mine have split ,another thing I've done is throw them in a bucket with no light for about 2 hrs and they'll usually split too.
I have many RBTA's and I do not suggest this is a safe way to reproduct clones. and I have not done this to try and get my RBTA's to split just over the years of moving stock around and trying to defoot some of my anemones out of deep crevises and stopped because of fear of hurting there foot . I have noticed they will usually split after stressing them out like that.

Thank you i think i will just stick to store bought ones for now. sound like its an art not a method
