How To Post A Picture On Coral Forum

What?! You don’t know how to post a picture on Coral Forum? You weren’t born with this knowledge? Hmm. Well, I guess we’ll teach you! Posting pictures is really very easy. There are a couple of routes to get there, but it’s a short trip!

If you want to start your own thread that has pictures in it, go to the appropriate forum (i.e. Members’ Tank Pictures, Talk Anything Saltwater, 911 Help ASAP!, etc) and click on the http://pic14.picturetrail.com/VOL554/969371/5410254/73829013.jpg button at the top of the page. That will bring up Coral Forum’s “Post a New Topic” page. You can fill in the Subject and Message Body. Near the bottom of the page you will find an area titled “Add an Attachment”.

This is where you will attach your pictures. Click on the Browse button and navigate your hard drive to find where you have saved the picture. Click on the picture’s file name, and it will display in the Filename box. You can type in the commentary you would like in the File Comment box. Then click the Add Attachment button. You can repeat this process and add another picture if desired. If you have included all you need to, it is a very good idea to press the Preview button to make sure it looks as you would like. If it does, hit Submit and you’re done! If it doesn’t, at the bottom of the “Preview” page you can edit the post.

You may find that you need to resize your picture because it is so large that the viewing area or text is too spread out. It is best to keep your picture in the range of 600 X 600 for these purposes. If your picture is too big, use the picture editing software on your computer to resize it. You will then go to the area titled “Posted Attachments” at the bottom of the “Preview” screen and press the Delete Attachment button.

You will need to use the Browse button to find the resized picture file on your computer, retype your comments, click Add Attachment and Preview again. Once it is right, hit Submit.

Now, you can sit back and wait for the witty yet informative replies by your fellow Coral Forum members to roll in. While you’re waiting, pat yourself on the back for learning a new computer skill and a job well done!
