for my 2g, i would put in zoo frags, 20w PC, and penguin mini filter.
would a clown goby and a tiger pistol be good?

Matt, I'd steer clear of the goby in a 2g. there's not a whole lot of room for error in such a smal volume of water.
why not toss a group of sexy shrimp in there. they are very entertaining to watch. I've got 4 in my 2.5.

Also, a clown goby won't pair up with a pistol. (If that was your intention.)

Not a sea hare in a 2G Matt!
You know it'll kill everything if it dies? And speaking of which, it can also "dye" your tank a nice toxic purple if it gets stressed, which you know can happen fast in a pico! He would also have a hard time finding enough to eat without supplementation. You might try your bigger nano, but you'd be better off skipping it.
I think some sexies would be great. You can also do a small cleanup crew.
