In the November issue of National Geographic, there is a very interesting (if simplistic) article about the regeneration of reefs in Fiji. A heat wave lasting a couple of years caused widespread coral bleaching, but the reef is recovering. There are some truly incredible pictures, and I would suggest you take a look at it if you can. Anyway, you have to do SOMETHING while waiting at the dentist's office!
Here is a link to the online article, but it is not the entire article. The best pictures aren't there, but there are some nice still-frames on the left, and a pretty video on the right. (Hearing the sound of breathing through a regulator underwater really makes me want to get there!) You will see lots of fish and corals you recognize, which is kind of fun.
Anyway, it's worth the read, even if you can't read and just look at pictures!
