Curly Q

Hey, i just bought some LR for my 7 gal and i got what looks like a curly q on one of my pieces. Im not really familiar with these types of anemones and was wondering how to care for it.

are you sure it's a curlique? post a pic so we can make sure that's a curlique and not an aiptasia. they look similar in the juvenile stage.

No he is really pink, almost transparent and has white curly pattern up his tentacles.

hmm i was looking at my tank today and i saw another little anemone on a different piece of liverock. Does this mean its definatly glass anemone? My tank has only been set up about 4 days could it really propagate that fast or is that little one just another which i didnt see when i bought the LR. Th tank i got this LR out of had alot of rock with these same anemones on them. If it is glass anemone how should i take care of it. Ive heard that lemon juice does the trick. Anyone have experience with this?

There are several methods of removing those. lemon juice, boiling water, Stop Aiptasia, Joe's juice and kalkwasser are all effective when injected into the mouth of the anemone.

More than likely it's just another one that has popped open. You'd be surprised, I found a couple of aiptasia recently in my tank that had been aiptasia free for over 8 months. You'll find more and more as the days progress.
