this is the greedy side of me speaking but, its worth a try :D
right now I have a 3 gal FW tank that has a betta (why I bought I dunno). And after seeing everyones single digit nano tanks with corals, it sparked an idea in my head.
I thought maybe I could convert that one to saltwater as well and let it be a coral tank with maybe just one small fish *shrugs*
It could go right on my desk by my computer too! lol
Of course all this would be done after I get back from deployment...
Might as well Corey. Sugar Magnolia has looped several of us into this debacle already too! Got to admit that its a awesome nano though huh? I mean how could we resist?
I scrounged up a 10 gallon last night and got busy. I rather suspect it will end up at work on my desk as well sooner or later, that way I can think about reef tanks 24/7
Now if I can get mine to look as bangin as SM's.....

Might as well, come on and ride with us.
Now, weren't you supposed to leave for about 4 mos.? This one is going to require a little more TLC.

The nice thing about tiny tanks is that they are portable. ;) Take out a couple inches of water, pick it up and off you go. As long as it's packed tightly into another container and a battery operated air pump is used to keep the oxygen level up, it's not unheard of to drive one a couple hours to the new location.l

I agree with gman0526.
we live in ND the winter here is hell on little tanks because of the very cold weather, the air here gets really dry, and such the water right out of small tanks, not saying not to do one just letting you know you will have to keep a very close eye on a tank that small here, you have to remember a 1/4 to 1/2" evaporation,in a tank that small will really play havic on it.

icereefer. Excellent point icereefer. There is much less of a margin of error in the small tanks. Top-offs and testing are essential.
