What do you feed your tank with Frozen or Un-Frozen (Such as flake or brine, etc.)
>Why

How you noticed a difference if you've changed your food or your feeding habits?

I personally vary the foods that I feed my fish, anything from flakes, pellets, zooplankton, phyto, marine snow, spirulina enriched frozen brine, fresh squid/shrimp, mushed seaweed. I feed randomly 2-3x a day very small amounts (what they eat in less than 2 mins.).

This has worked great for me in the past and once I add livestock to my tank again I intend to follow the same method since my fish have always been healthy and other than an ocassional ich incident never have I had anything else affect my tanks as far as illness is concerned not to mention water chemistry being as stable as it can be.

i use a frozen supplement (not sure of the name) but my fish seem to love it and it also brings out there colors

I rotate through: frozen Formulas 1 and 2, and a homemade frozen seafood mash. I thaw a block and feed a small portion twice a day until that block is gone. It takes at least three days per small block. Although my clowns will eat anything (including my fingers), the anthias and gramma will only take frozen foods and will not hit anything floating on top of the water. I do not know if my fish are healthier because of this routine, because this is all I have ever done! However, I have never lost a fish or treated an illness since starting into the marine world seven months ago (Knock on wood!), so they must be healthy.

Yes, I do beleive that this is one of those instances that omeostasis is not good. I think that a varied diet it better and a more "natural" way of feeding.

I have been feeding my fish my frozen mush I made and I notice that there colors and activity have improved quite a bit from when I was only using flake.

I rotate also. I read an article about it a while back and it made the point that "Humans don't eat the same thing everyday so why should we expect that feeding an animal the same food all the time would be good for it"
We even rotate the kinds of cat food we buy. Hmm....Maybe that's why the cat hates me? I say Rotate!

I say Rotate!
hehe :)

I vary my tanks diet as well. Here's what I have at the moment and am feeding the tanks with on a rotaional basis:

Formula One Flakes
Formula One Pellets
Prime Reef Flake
Frozen Formula One
Frozen Formula Two
Frozen Special Formula VHP
AquaYums Frozen Krill
Frozen Prime Reef
DT's Phytoplankton
Golden Pearls - 50-100 micron
Cyclop-eeze
Live Brine Shrimp

Yes, my tanks are well fed!

Does keeping my GP's in the freezer count? :D(keeps them dry-er)

my 11 year old royal gramma is living proof a 95% diet of Omega-one flake is good enough. But occasional variety is good(plus it hunts pods)
