Arg, Im trying to figure out how I can keep my 20 FW tank and add a 55 tank to use for SW, but its just not possible in this tiny dorm room on base :( The only way I can get the 55 in here reasonably is to get rid of both tanks I have now, but I want to keep my 20 gal FW.

And I cant get out of the dorms till I sew on SrA and have been here for 3 years at least.

So right now the only way for me to get a bigger tank is to get a 42 hex tank to put in the corner where my fridge is and move my fridge to where my 18 gal is. And I plan on getting rid of the 18 once I get enough money saved for a bigger tank for SW.

Arg.....maybe I shouldnt have bought either tank and just saved my money for the one big tank? :(

I feel ya brother.... I am in the Navy and if you live in the barracks you are only allowed 1 tank per room. (4 man rooms) and it can not be larger than 10 gallons.

I am stationed at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland.

I am an electronics tech. Radars and Air Traffic Control Displays are my babies. lol

Here is a potential space saving idea....Go to WMAS's web page (another Saltwater forum in Salt Lake, check out the thread where a woman tried an idea I have ofetn though of...She built a stand that doubles for her beds headboard and holds her 55 gallon tank! That would only add 12-16 inches of length to your beds length and let you have your tank too possibly. Just and idea...

That sucks dude...I have my room all to my self, but its barely big enough to call liveable. But I cant really complain....I dont pay for electricity or anything :)

I bought my own house. So I have all kinds of room now

I only got a year left in the Navy, due to knee issues, and not being elligible to reenlist.

SO I decided that I was gonna stay in Maryland and got a house, will be two years in december....

all kinds of room for tanks now. :D

Glad you liked it....It has potential to be pretty cool!

I have thought about doing that long before seeing that htread but I have had a little bit more elaborate ideas than what they used. Still basically the same concept though...
