I got some pretty good frags from a fellow reefer tonight. I spent the last two hours acclimating them. The only problem is that three of the five bags were double bagged and I didn't notice! Now, I get to start over! (I guess those ziplocks won't go into shock if I just dump them in now, right?)

Just another day in the life of a blonde!

Speaking of which:

A blonde is walking along a river, trying to find a place to cross. She walks and walks and finally looks up and sees another blonde on the opposite bank. She yells, "How do I get to the other side?" The other blonde has an immediate answer. She yells across, "You ARE on the other side!"

I guess I'll be around the forum for a couple more hours! See ya!

I can one up you though.... About a month ago, I got a new male Electric Blue Hap (FW African Cichlid)...

At the time I was running around like a fool trying to get stuff done so my wife and I could go somewhere. I floated the fish, and then left him in the bag until the next morning, cause I forgot all about him in the ruckus....

He didnt make it... I felt so bad, as well as stupid. So now I make it a point not to buy any fish unless I have the time to acclimate them correctly.

So atleast your oops only cost you some time.

Yes, I'm grateful for that! I'm sorry for your loss.

I lived in D.C. for three years. I went to Baltimore all the time for ball games and concerts. (I heard that Hammerjacks closed. :( ) I miss that part of the country in the fall. Take a nice drive through the brightly colored hills for me when the colors change, okay? I don't know just where in MD you are, but I think I remember that the Rock Creek Parkway was beautiful.

I work at NAS Patuxent River. In Lexington Park.

I left the east coast in '94, and don't remember too much about places and names anymore. Blame it on the Rolling Rock! Okay, blame it on me.

I still miss what I don't rightly remember, though!

I'll pull it up on Mapquest.com tomorrow when I'm less tired. You're up late for an easterner!

BigBill i did the samething, the kids brought a couple of goldfish home that they won at the fair we didn't have a fish bowl or anything so i floated them in a big pan of water, well while they were floating i fell asleep and when i woke up the fish were dead i felt so bad i got up early and ran out and bought a couple more fish and a fish bowl, that was about 6 years and 7 aquariums ago, the kids lost interest in the fish but i never did

I work sunday thru thursday, so I usually am up late on Thursday night.

Good thing you got some new fish before the kids noticed...

I dated a girl once that decided she wanted a Beta, she bought it on her way to work and left it in the car for 6 hours, not sure how hot it was in the car but it was about 95 degrees outside that day. And she couldnt understand why it died. :( Poor little guy boiled

So, obviously you were dating her for her mind. . .

Good thing she didn't want a baby!

I was definately a blonde in a former life...and it's spilled over into this one, except I don't have blonde hair this time around. You'd never know it by my actions. hehe

leaving the fish in the car reminded me of a time when i worked in a pet shop, some guy bought like six bala sharks, left them in the car for several hours during the heat of summer, brought them back all dead to get a refund for his stupidity. apparently it was our fault he left them in there cause he didn't know you weren't supposed to do that, the water they were in was soooo warm. poor little guys!
