how do i "plant" a macro? i had some calpura, but i didnt know where to put it. i stuck the bottoms of the stems in the ground, and it died. what do i do? im new to macros, but i want to learn about them. some of them are pretty cool.

If this is in a refugium...just place a small piece of Live Rock Rubble on it and it will do the rest for you within a week I promise. If its in the main display I would advise against it. It has hold fast that will attach to everything in your tank and will be near impossable too get rid of if it starts taking over on you. Additionally it will be impossible to remove the algae for pruning which will cause it to release toxins into you tanks water that will inhibit growth in corals. It will also grow much faster than coral and possible out compete them. Just a suggestion......
