View Full Version : Did I buy the correct lighting?

24" High and around 45g.

I just purchased 1 55w 10000k and 1 55w blue actinic, both 24" in length. I also bought the fixtures, ballast, and a wooden housing for about $150

My goal is fish only with about 50lbs of LR. Is this enough lighting? Wha other types of animals can I keep with this setup?

That should be plenty of light for a FOWLR tank, it would even be ok for lower light corals like shrooms, zoos and leathers...

Yes I would say that is plenty of light for what you are looking to do.
