I have a 10 Gal tank that I have set up to be a refugium for my 30 gal tank.
It's been set up for about a month now, it has red mangrove, caluerpa, and other macro algaes. I've waited to hook it up to the main tank just letting it mature and waiting till the pods really grow in it. Well, is almost ready now, and I need to figure out how to do the plumbing.
My main concern is that in the case of a power failure my main tank would drain too much into the refuge, thus overflowing not a pretty picture in a carpet floor room.
I will have the tank set up next to the main display tank not under it.
Any ideas are welcome, so your help would be much appreciated.
