View Full Version : Bubbles?

I was staring into my tank this evening (as usual  ), when suddenly a single stream of bubbles started coming through the sand. I thought it was odd, but probably just a little gas pocket in the DSB. It went on for at least twenty minutes, bubble after bubble, from the same spot, probably one or two BB-sized bubbles per second. I don't think it was toxic gas, because the clowns were biting and playing in them. Has anybody ever seen this? Maybe it's a common thing, but it's my first time! :?

I tried to get pictures (I had plenty of time.), but my crappy camera couldn't catch them. This is the best one I got. On the left-hand side there are some white lines. Those are the blurred bubbles.

Thanks in advance for clearing this up for me!

Those look like pretty good streams there, for that lengh of time watch your rim around the bottom and make sure you don't get a build up of salt creep. it could be a slight leak or you just might of had a good size air pocket in your sand, you hope "fingers crossed for you".
I know when my tank was new, I'd get those but never that long. I still do but only once in awhile but that's normal.

It may just be an air pocket but keep an eye on things and let us know. :?

Thanks for the responses. I'm not seeing any water or salt creep around the bottom rim, so the crossed fingers must be working so far! How strange if it was just an air pocket that large!

I'll keep an eye out, and thanks again!
