Yep thats the same sun coral from before...It's been about a month now that I've had it...I got really worried because the color started to fade a bit and a couple polyps turned orange, but it hasnt gotten any lighter than that inital fading- and it has a new baby polyp that is REALLY bright pinkish orange- so maybe it's not dyed?!?! I'm not doing to stress about it anymore- I have decided to just enjoy it :)

how much did you pay for your purple firefish? i really wanted one but the only place that had them wanted $39.99 and that was the sale price :eek2: so i ended up buying a regular firefish for $12

Wow- $39.99????? I got mine for $20 at one of LFS- and then a couple days later I went into a diffrent store and they had them for $10- I guess I wont feel bad about the extra $10 now!!!!

that lfs has high prices but they have the best looking fish very healthy, i bought my tank raise false percs there and i really love them, they also have the best variety of corals around also kinda high priced but i can't order online and pay shipping for the same price so i guess thats where i'll be buying, oh i almost forgot the purple firefish was marked down from $49.99

i'm in ohio between dayton and richmond, ind. there must not be alot of interest in sw around here because i've had a hard time finding stores that carry anything, the closest place to me is 1/2 hr drive oneway, the best place is 1 hr one way

The firefish, is one of my favorite fish, because when you 'spook' him...he'll dart back to his spot and hide. Plus they have neat fins that come up, when they flare.

I live in Ohio also it is expensive here and I also drive 45min to an hour to the good stores there is one that is 20-25min from me that is really kinda a hole in the wall but is ok for some things but I know exactly where you are comming from!!! 22+$ just for an ocillaris for example, 50$ for a regal/hippo tang juvinille!
