Last night I was looking at my tank with all the lights off with a flashlight trying to find pods, and I saw several red bugs swimming near the sand bed. I searched around trying to find info about them and everything about red bugs relates to acropora's, I dont have any acropora's- I only have softies & a few LPS. My question is- are all red bugs bad, and are they harmful to the types of corals I have???? TIA!!!!

I know grammas pods are kind of red and there good. more then likely there just some kind of pod. I guess I woud'nt worry about them unless you see them going after your corals, if there on the sand bed there more the likely scavengers. or going after your phytoplankton that settles towards your sand bed at night.

If they are indeed the red bugs that are in your tank, then this link should provide ample info on the treatment. Also search on RC on red bugs and there a long thread.
