whats better 2 apf 600's or 1 ap 702?

I am thinking about my new set-up, and will have a system of around 300 gals. It will be a totally sps tank with a few fish such as anthias, around 6, 2 clowns, cleaner wrasse and possible some more?

I am looking to get the best water quality so will have a turnover of around 50x in the main tank, and have some macro algae in a refugium (and maybe some mangroves).

But i am wondering about skimmers. I already have a apf 600. And i need the skimmer to fit in the cabinet so upgrading to the ap 850 isnt a option. So i am thinking of whether i should get another apf 600:

Deltec APF 600 (Saltwater Aquariums only)
For Aquariums up to:
Heavy Stocking 750 Ltrs (167gals)
Normal Stocking 1000 Ltrs (222 gals)

Water Throughput:
800 Ltr./ h (178 gall/h)

Dimensions:
L: 280mm W: 210mm H: 600mm

which will cost with the installation kit around £300. So i would have two apf 600 skimmers, rated at 170 gal each.

or do i get a ap 702:

Deltec AP 702 (Saltwater Aquariums only)
For Aquariums up to:
Heavy Stocking 1500 Ltrs (333 gals)
Normal Stocking 2000 Ltrs (444 gals)

Water Throughput:
2300 Ltr./ h (511 gall/h)

Dimensions:
L: 480mm W: 480mm H: 610mm

which will cost around £885!!! but i would get back around £150 for my existing skimmer?

What would you guys suggest to do, as i am in two minds. As the two skimmers would work well together, but if i cleaned each one once a week but at different times, then one will always be bedded in and working properly. But then the ap 702 is a larger skimmer so will have a longer contact time with the water?

I would honestly in my opinion go with a 702. It will do a better job and is better rated for you aquarium.

The two 600s would do the job yes. :hmm2: However the 702 pumps 2.875 times the water an hour over a 600. Listen to Condiman, go the 702.
