Water Test Results, OK???

Hi everybody,

I got my hagen master test kit in the mail today, and of course tested my water right away. Can somebody tell me if these results are OK?

Ammonia= 0
Nitrate=~20
Nitrite= 0.2
Phospate= 0
ph= 7.8-7.9
iron= 0
KH= 130

And finally it tested for Calcium and got a rather odd result, according to the test my calcium is between 0 and 20. Is this possible, if so what should i do???
I already added some buffer to raise PH.

Change your water and retest in a day.

Change the whole water you mean? Wont that be a lot of hard work and wasted money?

how long has your tank been set up?

Try the calcium test again...if you get the same result try a different test kit...

Since you have livestock in the tank, I'd recommend a 25% water change...maybe run some carbon also...

The seller from whom i bought from doesn't have one listed right now, but im sure if you wait a week or so he will list again.

I'd definently retest the Ca (Calcium), then if you get the same reading...I'd buy a single calcium test, or bring a water sample in to your LFS for testing. Or you could try changing 1/4 of your water.

I would suggest that if you have the ability and a good LFS, (that you can trust, you know how those LFS guys can be) :D I would have them run all of the tests on your water to test the reliability of your test kits. Most people don't go to this much trouble but IMO it can save you a lot of heartache in the long run.
