Depends on the fish...I've had several fish (yellow tang, true percula ect.) make it over the 10 year mark...

Have to agree with Mike, my wifes store just got a grey angel in that was kept for 12 years and it was a beautiful fish. A lot would depend on how well you maintain your water conditions.

some fish can be quite long lived in aquariums...an LFS in Colorado has a tomato clown that I know is at tleast 15 years old, and the LFS here in my home town has a red bellied pirhana that is 18 years old...

Mike, where in Wyoming do you live. I am down in Northern Denver (Thornton). Do you ever go to the club meetings in the Ft Collins area?

Casper...I'd have a hard time scheduling to be able to get to most of the meetings (are you referring to RMRC?)...but I'd love to...

The northern part of RMRC has branched off and created an additional club for everyone that feels Denver is too far for club meetings. They were going strong but have kind of tapered off here lately. I'll let you know if they plan on having any meetings in the near future and when they will be.

I will say that the RMRC is a great club and our members are not only very knowledgeable but also very friendly, always willing to give a helping hand.

Conni....here's the RMRC homepage....

http://www.rockymountainreefclub.com/

I joined a while back....but being almost 300 miles from Denver, I have yet to make it to a meeting.

Joe....does the northern chapter have a webpage?
