Sea Salt Needed

I just wanna make sure, since different LPS gives different advices. And currently, they sell sea salt from a branded bucket, then just pack them. Some sell 500 grams, others sell 1 kilo.

So how many kilos/grams do I need exactly per gallon?

i'm not sure about what kind of salt your using but i use Instant Ocean brand and the directions say to use 1/2 cup per gallon but i always measure a little bit short and check sg about 3 hours later and then adjust my mix to get a sg of 1.025

As you already know, Sera... How about other brands there in US? Do they just measure it in cup? Man its easier that way!

i've never used anything but IO brand, i'm very new to sw myself so i can't say how other brands are

Each brand of salt will have there own recamended amounts of salt per gallon ratio. But I think that most are about 1/2 cup per gallon.
