YES I'M SAD TO SAY........................My bicolored angel met his fate when he got too close to my powerhead. I had the powerhead about 1 inch off the SB and I saw him get stuck to it. I just happened to be watching my fish. I took my net and got him unstuck and he seemed ok, I moved the powerhead behind a fake plant but when I came home yesterday he was stuck to it again, only this time the powerhead had ripped his side open and he was still alive. Man I hated to see that happen! Maybe it was fish suicide cuz my Maroon clown nipped at him any chance he could get. He ended up taking off a small piece of this guys tail.
The powerhead has a little cone shaped piece that fits over the bottom but it still got him. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can keep this from happening again? My other fish have never bothered with it. I'm not sure why this little guy kept swimming so close to it.

more then likely your biocolored angel is getting stuck on the powerhead because it sounds like he's weak, and it goes to the powerhead to try and get more oxygen or just get more water flow so it doesn't have to work so hard while it tries to stay alive, and when it gets to close It don't have enough energy to get out of it's pull.
if you want get a small plastic dixie cup and try and mount it to the bottom of the powerhead and put some good size holes in it, and this might help keeping him from getting stuck to it till he can get his strenght back, just an
sorry to hear and good luck there cool little fish.

Oh I just feel bad to hear when such pets die, especially if its not out of natural causes. Good luck to the Great Beyond little fellow...

reminds me of a Dexter's Lab episode...
