Does any know or better still has anyone used PimaFix or MelaFix in a Reef Tank before? The LFS says it won't affect coral at all and it won't affect the healthy fish either. Thought I'd get some other opinions before risking $$$ worth of coral. I am treating a fungus growth on an Angle Fish. I have a QT set up but its imposable to catch this fish without removing all my coral. I would rather invest in a fish trap of some sort if I MUST remove this fish for treatment.

myself would go with the fish trap if thats what you need to do to get your fish out. IMO I would never medicate my main tank.
have you tryed catching him at night? or if it's not a lot of fungus tried adding a cleaner wrasse.

At night he sleeps among the live rock. I wouldn't stand a chance of catching him at night. As for another fish, well the tank is pretty well stocked and I'd rather not get another fish. Will a cleaner wrasse actully eat the fungus off another fish?

I just checked the angel after I got home from work and noticed the fungus has gone. Along with a small part of his tail fin. I can only asume now that my sargent major damsel or another fish thought it might be tasty. Funny how things have a way of working out. Although I am a bit concerned that it might get a relapse. I see how things go.

Thanks for the advice on cleaner wrasse, just checked them out, look like a cool fish to have and inexpensive too. I'll keep them in mind for a future fish to have, when I get a bigger tank.
