I have about 12 fish and feed my tank three times per day using flake and frozen. I use flake (spirulina) to start the day and the second feeding as well and finish the day with formula 1 and 2. I will mix that up the next day with mysis shrimp.
To me that doesn't seem to be to much, but I heard that may be too much. When I feed them they seem to eat like theres no tomorrow and three times a day seemed fine. The appetites are great on all three feedings. Is that OK?

I'd feed them twice a day, personally...that's what I do. But you do have 12 fish..as long as your not overdoing the food in a single feeding then you should be ok.

Monitor your water quality...if you start having ammonia/nitrite problems, thats a good sign you are overfeeding...

Yeah, then cut back until you don't notice the ammonia/nitrate problems heh ;) That would work
