I started dosing this product due to low calcium readings (300) I have about 15 corals and notice very slow growth. I thought I should start adding calcium.

The way Im adding this is I have an empty gallon jug, put in RI water and add 1 teaspoon of this kalk. I shake it up for about 30 seconds and then let sit for about 3 minutes. I then slowly add it to my sump. Is this ok to add it this way? Ive done it twice and noticed no ill effects, but id better check with ya all before continuing. I may be just getting lucky thus far. :) I just heard it was very risky administering it this way  What do ya think

I would just add a IV tube and drip it in over a coars of time. A little safer. If you do continue to do it the way you are make sure note to allow any of the solids to pour in to. they can burn your corals.

I agree with mojo...in addition, dripping doesn't cause as sudden of a pH spike...

How would you add this drip system to the tank? How does it work?
