Well it has been about 2weeks since I added what were called sand sifting cucumbers that are indeed "filter feeding cucumbers/scavengers" I am excited tonight because they were visable for the first day then they went into hiding in the sand bed and I hadn't seen them since. I really wasnt sure they were still alive since I hadnt seen them but low and behold I looked into the tank tonight to see those little filter arms sticking out right where I say them last. Yea 2weeks down and still kicking and they are so interesting to watch. Just wanted to update all who may be interested and thank to all who helped me make the decision wether to take them home or not.

I have just the one crummy one I took and placed in my tank pics at the playground I think....The pics there are pretty old I need to take some better new ones I will do that soon. I had a terrible algea bloom going on when I took some of the pics too and have added some stuff since.

Fishgills you have a filter feeding one too? Or a sand sifting one? Mine are filter feeders and if not getting enough food will sweep the sand with it's tenticles. The body of the cucumbers pretty much stay buried in the sand with just the tenticles sticking up resembling frayed string but much more complex I just dont know what else to compare it to. Mine seem to dyturnal not nocturnal and just stay put but the cool thing is the 2cucumbers have buddied up together. I hope for grandchildren someday
