how long have you been into the hobby? id reccommend clownfish. i think that almost everyone likes a clownfish. id even reccomend a dwarf angel. like a coral beauty for a flame angel because they can be so pretty.

ok ive come up with a list and no not all these fish are going to be in the tank only bout 5
ok its a long list so here it goes
1 fire fish(musy)
1 pygmy angel
1 flame angel (alternate to the pygmy)
1 sixline wrasse
1 blue neon goby
1 golden neon goby
3 blue green chromis
1 prawn goby
2 2spot goby
1 clown goby
1 griessinger goby
2 ocellaris clown
1 yellow jawfish
1 longifn fairy wrasse.
ive been leanong towards
1 fire fish
1 pygmy angel (have to talk to my importers)
1 flame angel (if i cant get the pygmy)
2 clowns
1 golden neon goby or neon blue
1 cleaner wrasse
sand sifter star fish n sum snails.
I suggest you start out very slow as your proably know. Here is what I think will look great. Do you plan to have any corals??
I suggest 2 firefish as they like to be together
sixline wrasse
Clownfish
You should really only have one pair of fish in such a small tank. Any angel will outgrow that tank and the sand sifting star will eat all your pods so stay away from that.

ok so im guna go with the 2 fire fish

sixline
pygmy angel
neon blue goby and thats it
ive shosen the pygmy angel because it stays relatively small and its a tall tank.

Just an fyi, pygmies (Flames included) are swimmers and will probably not be very happy in a nano. They are going to run from 3 to 5 inches which will cause them to have to make a lot of turns to swim the tank, and they will. The 2 firefish, 2 clowns, and sixline sounds like a good combo. IME anymore fish than that and you would be asking for trouble. I have been running a 20H for about a year and a half and stocked it w/a Maroon Clown, sixline, and Yellow Watchman. If you are going to be running an AGA 25 then you will have four more inches in height than the 20H, unfortunately that’s not a lot more space. One issue that was mentioned by Zack is if the clowns become a pair you might run into aggression problems in such a small tank. The sixline will probably be fine but the firefish would succumb very quickly to the possible aggression. With the list you posted you will be running between 20 to 25 inches of fish, way to much for a 25, IMO. Even with the five above it will put you at 16 inches.
Is this going to be FO or FOWLR? Are you going to be adding corals? Are you going to running a skimmer or fuge?

Take it slow, a 25 gal tank isn't so big. So it wouldn't be wise to overstock. This will cause a bio overload and you will spike very quick in ammonia which will take out most of the fish. I would keep it simple and stock it with a couple of clowns, and maybe one more small fish to see how that takes. Remember the smaller the tank the bigger the responsibility of maintenance. The reason being you have less room for mistakes. Patience/Maintenance is the key to having a successful tank.

also 25 gal. is a bit small for a dwarf angel....he will probably be quarellsome in a tank that small with that many other fish.

IMO, for the fifth fish, only 2 words.
SCOOTER BLENNY ! :o
srry, but i love those fish lol
I would not get started with damsels. IMO they are nothing but trouble unless you have a tank full of them. I have had customers that had bad experences with them and so have I.
