center brace

question. I got a free 55 gallon the center brace was broken off. does this mean the tank will bust? Someone told me to drain it and get rid of it. they said that since the brace is gone the tank will split.
True or fales?

This all depends on what kind of glass the tank is made out of or acrylic.If acrylic youll need some 1/4 thick acrylic and some Acryliweld(this meld acrylic together chemically) and remake the brace to the original dimensions.If its glass it the same concept just youll nedd silicone to seal it together.With this I suggest Dow Corning 999 silicone.I work at a glass shop and that is the best stuff I could recomend.But, hey if you want I could mail the stuff needed to you for free.I work at a glass shop and I could get it for nothing.Just let me know.
