I am very curious and wondering if anyone had some thoughts or just basic info on cheto. I have always used grape calurpa and just got some cheto and wondering how diffrent it is from calurpa and any other info you may have on it?

(Chaetomorpha), Spaghette marco, brillo pad macro, chaeto.
is a very fine hair like macro, that grows very very fast under high lights.
It removes inorganic compounds such as nitrate and phosphate thats in the water.
it's very thick so it's a very good breading ground for bristle worms, pods, snails, mini brittle stars, and so on.
and under good lighting, I've never seen it cycle out like caulerpa.

Thank you Blackangler
The great thing about this macro algae is it doesnt melt down on you, isnt as invasive and wont attach to rocks and what not. Just grows as a tangled bird nest like mat in the tank. Its the only macro algae I will recommend without reservation.

this is a good macro but don't let it get out of hand it will get so thick it will block the light from your other macro and choke it out.
