there is a special code on copyrighted dvd's thatminhibitts burning. if you want to burn it, you will either have to
A) find a way to hack past the encoded dvd's protection
B) download the movie off of the internet and burn it like that..
EDIT
btw, both are illegal and can carry hefty fines/inprisonment

I've heard http://www.dvddecrypter.com/ is excellent for the images and http://www.dvdshrink.org to compress them down so they fit on a single sided disc. So I've heard anyway
I should tell you that in the wrong hands these programs.................

most PC dvd burners used disks that have a capacity of 4.7 Gbytes, many movie, and game cds may use a disk format that allows up to 6.0+ Gbytes of data [something about a blue light laser, packing the bits closer together]. You can copy most protected CDs, but you'll have to use a program like dvd shrink.
As mentioned by the previous poster, dvd shrink works very well.
