So the macro-algae eat up the toxins, nitrates, etc. in the water. When you feed your fish (tangs, etc.) clippings of that same algae, are you re-introducing those toxins, or have they already been chemically converted to less harmful substances, within that algae?
Also, is there a "Refugium FAQ" somewhere? Thanks!

As far as I know if you only add a little amount of clippings (enough for the fish to eat). Then I don't think you will have to worry. But if you add excess amounts. Then you might get those toxins reintroduced into the system. I am not completly positive on this but I think that is how this works. No there is not a Refugium FAQ yet but there may be one in the future.

well, any toxins that are reintroduced into the reef will be reabsorbed by the existing macros....so on so forth....the cycle of life, :D
