T5's

Hi all

Are any of you using T5's on your reefs? If so....would you have a picture of your tank with T5 lighting?

I had been using T5's...

I feel they aren't worth using on a propagation tank though since you have to move them out of your way etc.

I also think enclosing them isn't the way to go, but if you fan them, you should be fine. Mine were about 4" from the water surface...

They are a good source of light heh...work well...

well....I'm looking for a picture for an article on lighting, all I still need is a T5 lit tank pic....

I'd suggest messaging 'moonpod' over on RC, in my opinion he is a T5 god. :)

I have been using T5 since last summer and love them. I swtiched my VHO over to T5 on my prop tanks and will be doing the same on my main tank. But I wouldn't substitute MH for T5. Only VHO to T5.

Sorry this too so long. I've been busy the last couple of days.

Top Row - 2 x 400W PFO 13000K and 4 x 53W T5 (4ft)
Middle Row - 16 x 53W T5
Bottom Row - 8 x 53W T5

Thank you, I just wished I had rebuilt the stand for the new tanks. The openings are a tight squeeze. Had to even cut into the shelf frame to get a larger opening.

But overall, I really like the T5 lighting.
