Button Polyps

I have a great button polyp piece that shoots off 4-5 seperate colonies per month. I used fishing line to gently tie one to a piece of rock, after 8 days, the new colony still will not take hold. Any ideas on how to get them to "adhere".

ok colonies ? what do you mean if your talking polyp, I've put my single polyps in a baby food jar full of rubble rock and since there's not in any direct current they'll usally foot them selfs to the rubble,or if there's a little piece of rock or sand on the foot you can super glue them to a piece of rock.

both of you have excellent ideas but I like the natural attachment better.
