Cowrie Snail vs Saddle Anenome

I think my Cowrie Snail killed my Anenome.

Is this possible? Snails (2) behavior was unusual. They followed the anemone around the tank and look like they were feeding off of it. I though they were just feeding on algae because every site that sells these state they are algae eaters.

Update: Anenome not dead but has a small injury on its side.

yeah they might have been picking at the anenome slowly and the anenome couldnt take it any more and died.
