I have set up my reef tank to accommodate a Jawfish which I hope to buy soon. I already have a red coral banded shrimp and a Peppermint shrimp and plan to get more shrimp of different species. I know that a Jawfish is carnivorous. I
t is true that all the shrimp I get will eventually become food for the Jawfish ?
Can I count on the shrimp finding hiding places in the caves of the live rock when preyed on ?

hard to say mling. jawfish will will eat any small live foods that wander near its burrow. depends on size of the jawfish and size of the shrimp?

I am getting a small Yellowhead Jawfish. It's the Peppermint shrimp that I am concern about.

well if the shrimp is about the same size as the jawfish it might be okay. depends i guess. keep the jawfish fed and you can see what happens next.
