fish suggestions

My 30 gallon tank is now 6 weeks old with 1 Maroon clown fish. Any suggestions as to what I might add next. I need to get some snails or something cause my algea is growing everywhere! I have a fake rock in the tank and it has thick green algea all over it but the live rock I put in the tank has a layer of brown algea, not stringy. What will eat this stuff?

I would shoot for the cleanup crew... something like this..

Scarlet Hermit Crab: 10
Blueleg Hermit Crab: 10
Turbo/Astrea Snail: 10
Nasssarius Snail: 5
Coral Banded Shrimp: 1
Emerald Crab: 3

For a FO tank I would. Its up to you.. I use the rule of 10 per gallon rule in all my tanks..

In my tank I have lots of LR and when snails or fish or other organizms die I dont worry about NO2 spikes... My crew can cleanup a dead fish in a days time.

in my 37 I have.
around 15 nassarius snails.
a few scarlets.
2 emeralds.
5 or so astrea snails/2 turbo's
2 peppermint shrimp
and I won't put coral bandeds in my tank because I've watched them tear,my anemones open to get krill I just fed them.
and I don't have blue legs in my tank,because to many times I've watched them kill my snails.

Nassarius are a great choice! They are extreamly fast movers both on your substrate and your glass.. they love eating detris, and they can flip themselves over unlike the turbo who usually flips over and dies..

for a 30 gallon tank id go with the list razoregx made but id take off a few. id probably add a peppermint shrimp or something.

AGain you have to build up your bio levels to support the output of all creatures.. That would include your cleanup crew :) I would start with 2-3 of each and go from there..
