I have a twenty gallon reef tank that needs more water movement. What is a adiquate power head for this size tank. MAy also maybe used with a larger (50 gl) down the road.

Well I would look at something that would move 10 times the amount of water in the tank per hour. So a 200gph would do good.

the hagen aquaclear 402 is really good. i bought 2 of them off ebay for just 40 dollars where at petsmart and lfs will sell them for about 30 a peice. my uncle has 3 in his 55 and gives perfect water movement and has had it for about 4 years now. there is even coraline algae growing on it since its so old. although theyre old they still in perfect working order. i have 2 in my 50 gallon reef with two pvc piping returning back into the tank acting as power heads also.

myself I like using Maxi-jets,nothing to ajust, plug and play,600 would work good in your tank.
