wow that is going to get expensive, might want to look into a smaller ro unit, like a 3 stage, they are around $75.00 or so. i use air water ice, they rock, i use there typhoon III but I also have approx 900 gallons, so you wouldnt need more then a 30/40 gpd i am assuming this amount will be fine because if you are topping off with more then 1 or 2 gallons then you are spending a lot of money on bottled water.

Dasini is RO, you could just go to your lfs, most have an R.O. unit. They will probbaley just give you ro or charge you liek 3$ for a 5 gallon bucket full.

If you get RO water from a grocery store dispenser, make sure you test it for phosphates, nitrates, ect before using it....sometimes those dispensers go a long time between filter changes....I've tested water from those locally, one even tested identical to my tap water, even showed chlorine still in it!

distilled water will be ok., expensive in the long run however. I keep distilled on hand for emergency needs, and some of my test kits require distilled water.

kool......but the kool thing is, nano tanks aren't that expensive on water, it can be cheaper then buyin a RO unit if you only have the one nano tank

?... when you use your distilled water for top off, do you use a Re-mineralizer? like agramilk or aragamight?
and if your going to be using water your not monitoring yourself, it might be a good Idea to pick up a pocket TDS meter, there cheap and this way you can check your water to see how pure it is,even bottled water from the same company and brand will very, some times they'll push there membranes to the max.
