Okay, my parents have a 180 gallon salt water tank. They have two clown fish, a yellow tang, one of those blue starter fish that never died, a wrasse and they just bought a blue tang (Dory from Finding Nemo) and a Moorish Idle (Gill from Finding Nemo). Anyway, before they bought those two, they had a Gill fish that wasn't a moorish idle, but looked very similar. When they were on vacation, I was watching their pets and came tot he house to find the imitation mororish idle attached and the wrasse was eating its eyes out. Now, last night, we were all there for dinner and the wrasse looked to go after the mooriosh idle (who by the way was extremely healthly). When I got closer to the tank, I noticed one of the moorish idle's eyes was now missing and she was swimming all funny. This morning, she seemed fine, although still missing an eye. Then, not too long after, my mom fuond her dead, with both eyes eaten out by the wrasse. Why does the wrasse only do this to this type of fish? Any suggeastions on what to do? Is this common? I just feel really bad for my parents because my mom especially loves her fish and the moorish idle was beautiful.
