Tang food?

Since I'm still a newbie I'll ask the dumb question of , what kind of veggies will a tang eat? Like if I toss some lettuce in the tank will he go to town on it?

idk maybe he will, he should like some algae that you can grow in your fuge if you have one

I fed mine romane lettuce, fresh spinach, and fresh green beans....

my God I gotta get me one of those some day. That is really funny. So do you shred the lettuce nice and small?

no...I clipped the whole individual leaves on the side of the tank. That way I could remove what he did not eat before it rotted in the tank.

I'll have to get me a tang someday. My sister has a blue tang that does all kids of funny stuff.
