IMO, I wouldn't put a Royal Gramma in anything smaller then a 20 gallon. I've seen that they often like a bit of space to swim throughout the rockwork. Have you thought about a Clownfish Pair or perhaps a nice goby or two?
As for the clean-up crew. You'll want to add this slowly (over time) and have it consist of a varitey of snails (around 5 or so should do). Scarlet Red Legged Hermits ae probably your best bet as they don't go after snails all the time like the Blue Legged Hermits.

if they are going into the 23 gallon, then yes it will work, but if they are staying into the 10 gallon, then no it won't work....2 (false or true) perculas are a max for fish in a 10 gallon, UNLESS you have unusal stuff like a huge fuge, or conections to a bigger tank.....it just all depends but a 10 gallon on its own, i would only put a pair or the (true or false) perculas....and maybe skip on the turbo snails and try to get magraita snails instead?? And i would just stick with the shrooms...seems good

well, they are living things and they do create waste, but they dont create much.....add them first then the fish.....you will need to keep checkin ur parms good at first to get an idea on how much nitrate is being produced...then keep up with water changes

my ammonia is 0 and it has been like that for 2 years and my nitrates are 0 also because i do weekly water changes and have an excellant cleaning crew. i run no skimmer, fuge, or wet dry. just a penguin mini bio wheel

ok i got a fiji damsel and im guna go with
fiji damsel
firefish
royal grammer
clean up crew.
but the thing is i was talking o one of my friends that has sw and he said i can do the 2 percs firefish and fiji damsel with a clean up crew.
Hey
Damsels will do great alone in my exp. I have one by itself in a 10 gallon and it does great, however i use to have it with another fish and he really got to it. Firefish are know to jump and i would becareful with them be bothered and then jumping!
My throughts are you go with the pair of firefish and the cleanup crew. I have done many 10 gallon set-ups and that is great for a newer tank owner.

but ive alredy got the fiji damsel and hes soooooo cool im not guna take it back but im guna go with sum other fish.
Hey
whoops, didn't know you had it. My suggestion is to when you get the new fish, before placing them in that tank, rearrange the rock work if you can so the damsel will have to find new terratory.
rabbit
04-04-2004, 03:43 AM
yea i do that with my fresh water
so wat do u think i should add?
I would suggest a royal gramma and the damsel should work ok... not postive on just how mean the damsel is.

supprisingly it isnt very but should i got for a fire fish and royal grammer?and a clean up crew?
I would stick with just the royal gramma and damsel and the clean up crew. From there we can see how it works out. Don't fall under pressur to buy more, try this and we will see how it works.

if your parms are all fine, member to add VERY slowly!! wait at least a month before you add another fish, but get your clean up crew in before your other fish
but get your clean up crew in before your other fish
Good point, if you can buy that first, and then the fish a little later?
Puffy

yea they are needed worse then the fish if you have algae problems
