Hi all

My reef tank is somewhat of a "Frankenstein's Monster" tank, as the tank and most of the equipment were borrowed from older FO tanks I used to keep.

The tank is a 55 gallon AllGlass aquarium, standard dimensions (48x18x20)
The tank is almost 4 years old as of June 2004

My equipment includes:

2 powerhead 301's
1 Rio powerhead
Seaclone protien skimmer (heavily modified)
Whisper powerfilter outfitted with a homemade overflow, used for surface "skimming" and for phosphate removing media/carbon when needed
Acura 150W heater

I currently do not have a sump for this tank.

My lighting-

2x55w Coralife 50/50 PCF
2x110w URI VHO bulbs (1 actintic blue, one 12000K actintic white) powered by an Icecap430 ballast

the lights are housed in a homemade canopy and cooled by a 4" icecap varible speed fan.

The tank has 2 inches of crushed coral covered by a 4 inch deep bed of aragonite sand.

I have approximately 75lbs of live rock, some Fiji, Marshall, mostly Florida Aquacultured.

Livestock includes

T. Derasa (10")
Branching Hammer
5 species of mushroom polyps (starburst, blue, hairy, greenstripe, melonstripe)
Bubble coral
Yellow polyps
Green zoo polyps
Dwarf cup coral

astrea snails
turbo snails
bumble bee snails

3 scarlet reef hermits
1 peppermint shrimp (MIA as of 3-18-04  )
1 emrald crab (MIA as of mid Febuary  )
Queen conch

Fiji blue devil (picked out at LFS by my 3 year old son, currently only fish in the tank)

You can see pictures of my tank and its inhabitants on my webpage, located in my signature.
