I was just wondering if any of you have had this same experience. I haven't been doing this long, but I have a maroon n gold clown with a striped carpet here in my room. It took him(saying him cause he's the only one so I'm not sure if he has become a she yet) about a month and a half to move in but now its all good. I was watching tonight and was surprised when he forced over half his body head-first into the mouth of the anemone. I this normal? I've watched my perculas do it to some extent in my other tank, but no further than their mouth. Hope someone can help me figure this out.
Thanks

How long did your maroon do this for? Could just be cleaning house or feeding your carpet, but most likely removing a piece of debris. Carpets are pretty vicious anemones, but I wouldn't worry about your maroon being eaten.

I agree that he's proab just cleaning house. I wouldn't worry about it.
