Pump Choice

What would be a good pump, with very little heat exchange to run a 100 gal FOWLR tank. I am using a Little Giant right now however, it is loud and is adding heat to my tank.

I would check out the magdrive pumps. Very good pumps if cleaned and are good price. They go up to 2400 gph i belive and have everything belowe that like 700 950 500 ect. Check out some of the sponsor sites as they give discounts on their inventory.

I run a Mag drive 1200 on my 125 gallon. I like them and they are reliable.

The are submersible or external, so you can decide on it's actuall application... :)

But I heard that they were not recamended for external use outside of saltwater

Not sure why someone said that, but I don't see any logical reason why they shouldn't be.

Do you know who this recommendation comes from? Manufacturer or other?
