I just wanted to say Hi to everyone and welcome to anyone who is new like me.

I have a 7 month old reef tank that is coming along very well. It is 30 gal, hang on wet/dry filter w/ skimmer( A miracle filter),30 lbs of sand, 1 maxi-jet 1200 powerhead.
Fish- lawnmower blenny,2 false percs, 1 velvet damsel and 1 yellow tail damsel. lso snails, crabs and a serpant starfish. All get along quite well
sps corals- 1 frog spawn that is splitting, 1 leather finger(new), 1 green star polyp,1 button polyp rock & a rock with 11 mushrooms.
I also have a purple tip anemone and a duster cluster without worms beacuse emerald crabs ate them all.

:welcome: to Coral Forum. Sounds like you have a nice setup there. Too bad about the emerald crab eating the worms.

I am from the Harriburg area. Do you belong to any reef clubs mamie? If not and you are interested let me know. If you are, which one?

reefman,

No I don't belong to any reef clubs, yet. I could not find any close to my area. Do you know of any?

I belong to NCPARS (North Central Pennsylvania Aquarium Reef Society). They don't have a permanent location but all the meetings (frag swaps) are located in the Allentown/Higgins area. Here is their site:
http://www.ncpars.com/

We are having a frag swap on May 15 from 12 - whenever you wanna leave:) Here is the site for that:

The club does not currenly have membership dues. We invite everyone who is interested. We have members from all over PA/NJ/DE/MD/NY

Contact me if you have any questions

Welcome Mamie!!! I know of a great little salt store in Erie Pa called Coral Cave if you are near to there they also have a club, or so I have heard anyway. Just found this place within the last week. Their tanks are pristine! Clean clean clean tanks and extremely healthy specimens. And the owner won't sell you anything that you can not maintain and gives lots of advise. Really there isn't anything you walk out of the store not knowing about his tanks or your new fish. This place is a little over an hour from me but worth it! Good luck!
