I was waist high in the sea on an a Thai island when I felt something light hit me on my calf. I then felt a slight sting and turned and looked through the water to see a small oval shaped, light coloured fish back away and swim off.
I walked back onto the beach to examine my calf. There was a thin line of blood running from two tiny puncture marks.
Does anyone know what this fish is called? I appreciate the help.
I made a full recovery by the way

Could be most anything. Hard to tell from that description. Good to hear that you made a full recovery. The fish was most like just checking out this new strange thing that he found in his world.

No but serious ly not all rays are poisionuos some defend their selves by slashing whith their tail spine not stabbing. it also could have been some type of surgeon fish or tang when i snokeled in the carribean i was slashed by a cute little orange one. it got me pretty good the little sucker.
