I have a 72 gallon FOWLR 40lbs of LR, one yellow tang, one maroon clown, one coral beauty and one bird wrasse. What would you recommend for a final fish that is bright and attractive?
Someone suggested a dwarf lion fish but I wanted something more colorful like a dottyback. I just want to make sure they are not all disturbed by the new arrival.

What size are all the current fish?
You might consider a dartfish like a Firefish like this:

Hmmm, close to max on your tank there. And I'm not sure how well the Firefish would do since they are relatively small. They are quick though.
Maybe a Goby would be cool. There are a few that are fairly colorful. A Yellow Watchman or an Orange Stripe Prawn Goby. A royal Gramma or a Purple Basslet could be cool to.
The bird wrasse can have a type-A personality. Has it experienced or demonstrated any wild behaviors?
A splendid dottyback, royal gramma, accessor, or yellow goby are nice, small additions that adds color and variety to your tank.

I would second mjc's recommendation of the Gramma loreto(royal gramma) or perhaps a Pseudochromis Fridmani(orchid dottyback). How is your marron clown? They can be quiet nasty and I would be concerned about adding a firefish. Not only that, but firefish tend to do better in pairs and I'm not sure you want two more fish.

I'm confused. My maroon clown is just fine. He stays in his little corner. What type of fish needs to be in pairs?

What is a firefish?

A very cool little fish...they pick a hiding spot in your tank and when frightened, the retreat quickly to the tank, so if you dont' have a large enough tank, usually it kinda stinks, because they are hard to keep from hiding most of the time, I've sucessfully kept two of them. They have a purpleish version of the firefish as well, called Purple Firefish in common terms, I'm not aware of the name in scientific terms.

That is cool but I want a fish that you can see. Not too sound rude, but, if they hide, why have them?

In reference to another thread (http://coralforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=121) this goes to show you the hobby is not cheap.

I would try one of those.
:)
about a year ago i got in three Helfrichi firefish from hawaii for the store i work at, we were selling them for $130 each and we also always keep a steady flow of red and purple firefish in stock... it turns out that the helfrichis did not sell for 4 months and eventally died... it sucks but ppl would rather just have a purple of a red for alot less. but hey i say maybe try a angler or maybe a tiger or bluespotted jaw fish those are cool as they come.
It's all relative. You could buy a firefish for $20 or one that's $190, it all depends on one's personal taste, to most people, they look pretty much the same. I had a client who paid $900 for a 2-foot hawaiian dragon eel. There was one time I almost purchased an 8" clown trigger only to be informed that (my cost) was $280 - the guy flew in first class from the Easter Islands.
But as HR30 indicates, store that invest in expensive fish and are unable to sell it are taking the risk. I'd much rather see the LFS place it in a display tank and use it as a form of generating interest, and, business.
Another pseudochromis that looks great in a tank is the neon dottyback

Yes, the neon dottyback, also known as an Arabian Pseudochromis would be great addition. They are a bit more agressive than some of the other fish mentioned so far so they would probably do well in this tank. The picture on the link above doesn't do this fish justice. They are much more colorful than that. My LFS has had them for $49 before, so they are a bit pricey, but in my opinion, well worth the price. Here is a better picture:

some buddy post some jawfish pics for me... i cant locate any good ones at the moment

I get so many different answers when it comes to who gets along with who. I have a great LFS and they have never steered me wrong. My tank is 72 gallons. I have a maroon clown, coral beauty, bird wrasse and a yellow tang. I recently purchased a Picasso Trigger since my LFS said it was compatible. Everything I have read on the internet says these fish are terrors. Does anyone have some positive feedback on keeping these together? I really love the Picasso and if I need to part with one of the other fishes that is fine.
That all depends on the size of your trigger. Adults tend to be more aggressive than juveniles (sp?). I've purchased and stocked picassos, clowns, niger, pink tails, undulated and queen triggers. IMO, the queens, undulated and pink tails would be the most aggressive followed by the clown, picasso and the niger being the docile one of this group. I have a client with a picasso in his aggressive tank with a volitans, zebra eel, panther grouper, flagfin angel and a pseudochromis.
