That stinks you had to get rid of it, I'm going to end up, incorporating, an update program type deal into it, so I can have it auto update and add new features.

IMO could be a handy tool for calculating substrate, but the results should be variable based on using different types of substrate (eg, size of substrate per pound, 1-2mm, 2-4mm, etc.). The tank volume is OK, but personally, I use a calculator to calculate volume.
With the graphics in the background, the field names becomes difficult to read, I'd suggest removing the graphics and have a clean dialouge box or moving the graphics to the help page, but show it as a graphic instead of a background.

Hey Tom,
Don't worry, I don't let my wife download anything onto my computer without my permission either. She likes to crash my systems. She hates it, but I hate formatting hard drive and reinstalling windows more. :)

I have tried it, and it works the charm. Are you planning on adding new functions to it? Maybe even some ?sp? periferial ?sp? control for heaters and lighting scedules or pump timers (wave control) ?

There is no difference in Tank Calculations and a calculator...my program, takes the tanks, length, width and height, divides by 231 I do believe, I haven't toyed with the code in awhile...I actually forgot...I'm guessing your getting cubic inches and then converting to gallons.

Are you talking about having probes, and connecting them via serial cables, and using the pins on the cables? IF SO, then yes, I had thought about it, and I'm not sure if I want to do that and keep it a freeware program...the program would be free, but the probes, would cost money, and they'd have to buy them from me, since they'd be custom probes that wouldn't be interchangable between other aquarium control programs...that way, it entitles them to my program if I decide to charge :) I doubt I'll ever sell the program in the first place...I planned on having a few hundred copies made, and distributed via my store and possibly the online store as soon as its finished though.

Well I figure, that an average, it will be right...and if its wrong, it won' t be off by much :)
